UOB Indonesia Provides KPR Facilities for Employees of PT Johnson Home Hygiene Products Group
Jakarta, 30 January 2013 – PT Bank UOB Indonesia (UOB Indonesia) signed a cooperation agreement in providing housing loans (KPR) facility for employees of PT Johnson Home Hygiene Products (JHHP) Group.
This cooperation is in line with UOB Indonesia's focus on developing the KPR business in accordance with the growth of the property industry in Indonesia.
"Housing is a primary necessity just like clothing and food; therefore, UOB Indonesia is providing the ease for JHHP Group employees to have their dream home through KPR financing solutions. In the future we will continue to see opportunities to carry out similar collaborations with other companies,” said President Director of UOB Indonesia, Armand B. Arief.
In the third quarter of 2012, UOB Indonesia's KPR business grew by 51% compared to that in the same period in 2009. Through this collaboration, JHHP Group employees who live in five major cities in Indonesia such as Jakarta, Surabaya, Medan, Semarang and Balikpapan, can move their KPR from other banks to UOB Indonesia and get interest subsidies for UOB Indonesia's KPR facilities. JHHP Group is a multi-national company which employs 1,500 employees with a main focus on insect repellent, air freshener and home cleaning products.
Francisco Dela Fuente Guerra III said, “As part of our efforts to improve the quality of life and welfare of JHHP Group employees, we facilitate this KPR program. We believe this will be beneficial for employees and ultimately improve their performance and productivity.”
The latest data released by PriceWaterhouseCoopers in early December 2012 stated that Jakarta will become the main property market in Asia in 2013, way ahead of Hong Kong and Singapore. This is supported by the stable condition of Indonesia’s economy, reflected in the interest rate and controlled inflation, as well as an increase in the flow of investment funds from foreign investors in the range of 39% until mid-2012.
The signing of this cooperation was held in Jakarta and was attended by several representatives from both parties.
