Board of Commissioner

Mr. Wee Ee Cheong, is a Singapore citizen. Mr. Wee Ee Cheong was appointed as President Commissioner pursuant to the Annual General Meeting of Shareholders (AGM) held on 29 April 2019 and became effective since 22 October 2019. He was lastly re-appointed at the AGM held on 29 April 2025.

Prior to this, Mr. Wee Ee Cheong served as Commissioner since 2007 and was appointed as Deputy President Commissioner of UOB Indonesia in 2011 and held the position until 2019.

As a career banker with 40 years experiences in the UOB Group, Mr. Wee joined United Overseas Bank Singapore (UOBS) in 1979 and has been a Director of UOBS since 1990. He is currently the Deputy Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of UOBS, Chairman of United Overseas Bank (China) and Chairman of United Overseas Bank (Thai). His other directorships include United Overseas Bank (Malaysia).

Mr. Wee is a council member of The Association of Banks in Singapore, and The Institute of Banking & Finance. He is a member of the Board of Governors of the Singapore-China Foundation, Visa APCEMEA Senior Client Council and an honorary council member of the Singapore Chinese Chamber of Commerce & Industry. He was previously Deputy Chairman of the Housing & Development Board and a Director of the Port of Singapore Authority, UOL Group, and Pan Pacific Hotels Group.

Mr. Wee holds a Bachelor of Science (Business Administration) and a Master of Arts (Applied Economics) from American University, Washington, D.C., USA.

Mr. Chin Voon Fat (Frederick Chin) is a Singapore citizen. He was appointed as Deputy President Commissioner at the AGM held on 29 April 2019 and became effective since 22 October 2019. Prior to this, he was appointed as Commissioner since 27 May 2019 and was lastly re-appointed at the AGM held on 29 April 2025. Mr. Frederick also served as Member of the Remuneration and Nomination Committee.

Mr. Frederick Chin joined UOB Singapore since 2013 and currently oversees the Group’s Wholesale Banking and Markets businesses in UOB Singapura comprising Business Banking, Commercial Banking, Corporate Banking, Transaction Banking, Structured Trade and Commodity Finance, Financial Institutions, Investment Banking, Treasury and Global Markets.

He began his career in Bank of America Merrill Lynch since 1984 to 2013. He was the Executive Asia Pacific Committee Bank of America Merrill Lynch in 2010-2013. He was previously a Country Executive for Greater China, Thailand, Indonesia, and Malaysia.

Mr. Frederick Chin holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting and Econometrics) from University of Melbourne, Australia.

Mr. Chan Kok Seong is a Singapore citizen. He was appointed as Commissioner at the AGM held on 29 April 2019 and became effective since 22 October 2019. He was lastly re-appointed at the AGM held on 29 April 2025.

Mr. Chan Kok Seong has more than 35 years of work experiences in banking industry and risk management. He has been with UOB Group for more than 20 years. In 1998 to 2012, he served in UOB Malaysia with his last position as Chief Executive Officer. Currently he also served as Group Chief Risk Officer at UOB Singapore.

He began his career in Central Bank of Malaysia since 1986 to 1995. Furthermore, he joined Arab-Malaysian Merchant Bank from 1995 to 1998 with his last position as Head of Risk Management.

Mr. Chan Kok Seong holds a Bachelor of Accounting from the University of Malaya, Malaysia.

Mr Wayan Alit Antara is an Indonesian citizen. Mr Wayan was first appointed as an Independent Commissioner of UOB Indonesia in January 2009 and lastly re-appointed at the AGM held on 29 April 2025. Mr Wayan also served as Chairman of the Risk Monitoring Committee and Integrated Corporate Governance Committee.

He began his career in banking at PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) in 1976 with his last position as Deputy Managing Director and retired in 2006. During his 30 years of career at PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero), he served in several important positions namely as Director of Finance and Treasury, and Director of Micro, Retail and Sharia Loans. He has served as an Independent Commissioner of PT Bhakti Securities from 2007 to 2008 and as a Commissioner of PT Sumber Abadi Tirtasentosa from 2008 to 2015.

He holds a Bachelor of Agricultural Economics Degree from the Faculty of Agriculture at Gadjah Mada University, Yogyakarta and has more than 42 years of experience in the banking industry.

Mr VJH Boentaran Lesmana is an Indonesian citizen. He was appointed as Independent Commissioner of the Bank at the AGM on 9 May 2018 and lastly re-appointed at the AGM on 29 April 2025. Mr Boentaran also served as Chairman of the Audit Committee.  

He began his career at the Public Accountant Firm (KAP) Tanudiredja, Wibisana, Rintis and Rekan (formerly KAP Drs Hadi Sutanto and Partners) PricewaterhouseCoopers Indonesia in 1972 and was promoted as a Partner from 1 July 1990 until his retirement on 1 January 2010.

He holds a Bachelor of Economics Degree from the Faculty of Economics, University of Indonesia and has more than 38 years of experiences as an auditor with expertise in the financial services sector comprising banking, multi finance, pension funds and insurance.

Mr Johanes Susilo is an Indonesian citizen. He was appointed as Independent Commissioner of the Bank at the EGM on 26 October 2023 and effectively hold the position as Independent Commissioner of the Bank on 30 January 2024. He was re-appointed at the AGM on 29 April 2025. Mr Johanes also served as Chairman of the Remuneration and Nomination Committee of the Bank.

He has more than 40 years of experience in various industries, including banking, financial services institutions, and other industries such as Chase Manhattan Bank Jakarta, PT Bank Danamon Indonesia Tbk, PT Trias Sentosa Tbk, PT Colorpak Indonesia Tbk, PT Sucorinvest Asset Management, etc.

He holds a Master of Business Administration Degree from Andrews University, Berrien Springs, Michigan, United States of America and Bachelor Degree from University of Advent Indonesia, Bandung.
