2024

The UOB Heartbeat Run/Walk 2024 was held at Senayan Park, Jakarta on Sunday, 28 September 2024. The event was enlivened by more than 3,000 UOB Indonesia employees who participated in five cities including Jakarta, Bandung, Semarang, Surabaya and Medan and raised Rp350 million to support the education of deaf students in Indonesia.

The UOB Indonesia will distribute the proceeds of the fundraising to the Cicendo Special School (SLB), Santi Rama Special School, Semarang State Special School, Bangun Bangsa Special School, and Karya Murni Special School, as well as provide hearing aids and school supplies.

2023

The UOB Heartbeat Run/Walk 2023 was held as a physical activity held on Saturday, 12 August 2023 in 5 cities, namely Jakarta, Bandung, Semarang, Surabaya, and Medan. Around more than 2,000 employees participated in this fundraising program. The funds collected amounting to IDR 250 million were distributed to support Special Schools for Deaf Children (SSDC), including Cicendo SSDC, Karya Murni SSDC, Siswa Budhi SSDC, Bangun Bangsa SSDC, and also additionally for the Rosa Foundation. Donations were given in the form of laptops, hearing aids and basic necessities to 4 SLB for the Deaf in 4 regions/cities and the Rosa Foundation.

2022

The UOB Heartbeat Run/Walk 2022 was attended by more than 2,500 UOB Indonesia employees who participated in the first face-to-face event post-pandemic on Sunday, 16 October 2022, and successfully raised around IDR150 million to provide laptops and other school equipment for children in need in 5 orphanages in five regions/cities.

2021

The UOB Heartbeat Run/Walk 2021 was held virtually for the second time in 2021. More than 650 UOB Indonesia colleagues kept the good going by participating in the annual UOB Global Heartbeat Virtual Run/Walk fundraising event. Together, colleagues raised around IDR130 million to support children’s arts and education programs across Indonesia. The funds raised were donated to the Mari Berbagi Seni Foundation, an arts education program that focuses on local arts and culture, to help 100 orphans affected by COVID-19 attend art therapy sessions and workshops under the Creative Digital Pod program. In addition, a donation of IDR10 million was also donated to the Sinar Kasih Harapan Foundation to help underprivileged children and orphans. UOB Indonesia employees raised funds by collecting kilometers in the UOB Heartbeat Virtual Run/Walk program and collaborated with Halodoc to donate 20,000 masks through PKK to the most vulnerable members of society in 3 sub-districts in Jakarta and its surroundings.

2020

The UOB Heartbeat Run/Walk 2020 was held virtually for the first time, where colleagues collectively ran and walked 13,000 kilometres in a month. In December 2020, we partnered with Halodoc, a healthcare technology start-up, to use the funds raised through the UOB Heartbeat Run/Walk to donate 20,000 specially designed protective masks to vulnerable members of the community in and around Jakarta. This is a form of commitment to supporting the Indonesian government's 'Wear a Mask Movement'.

2019

 

The UOB Heartbeat Run/Walk 2019 was held at Plaza Timur Senayan and included a 3.5-KM fun walk, 5-KM run and 10-KM run on Sunday, 7 July 2019. The event aimed to support arts and education programs for children across Indonesia and was attended by more than 2,000 colleagues and customers who participated in the annual UOB Heartbeat Run/Walk fundraising event and successfully raised more than IDR440 million to benefit the community, especially to support arts and education for students in Jakarta and surrounding areas, as well as Maluku in collaboration with the Mari Berbagi Seni movement.

2018

 

The UOB Heartbeat Run/Walk 2018 was held at ICE BSD, Tangerang, with a distance of 3K walk, and 5K and 10K run on Sunday, 8 July 2018. The event also included painting together on a blank canvas, the results of which will be used as designs for various school equipment for underprivileged children in Eastern Indonesia. Fundraising through this activity is an effort to support education and art that can be accessed by children in need.

This event was attended by more than 2,000 UOB Heartbeat Run/Walk participants and donations collected from the fundraising action amounted to IDR 330 million to support art education activities for students in Jakarta and its surroundings, as well as Maluku in collaboration with the Mari Berbagi Seni movement and helping more than 400 children who were victims of the earthquake and tsunami in Palu through a cultural festival.


2017

 

The UOB Heartbeat Run/Walk 2017 was held in Jakarta on Sunday, 16 July 2017 with the aim of raising funds for children with special needs from the Daya Pelita Kasih Foundation, as well as promoting financial literacy activities with the Tunas Aksara Foundation. This activity brought together more than 2,000 employees to carry out community social actions.

The UOB Indonesia collected donations from employees and UOB Indonesia partners amounting to IDR250 million which was used for children with special needs through the Daya Pelita Kasih Foundation and empowerment of early childhood school teachers through the Tunas Aksara Foundation.


2016

 

The UOB Heartbeat Run/Walk 2016 was held in the Prambanan Temple area, Yogyakarta on Sunday, 24 July 24, 2016. The event was themed “Run for Arts” which aims to provide donations for children with special needs and the development of the arts community.

The UOB Indonesia successfully collected donations from all employees and partners of UOB Indonesia amounting to IDR250 million for children with special needs under the Daya Pelita Kasih Foundation and the arts and culture development center through the Yogyakarta Biennale Foundation.


2015

 

The UOB Heartbeat Run / Walk 2015 was held in the city of Bandung on Sunday, 7 June 2015. The event featured a 5 km fun run and a 3 km carnival walk, as well as “Project Pop” band performance. Attended by 1,000 participants consisting of UOB Indonesia family and corporate partners, the event is expected to increase brand awareness in Bandung.

UOB Indonesia managed to gather donations from all employees and partners of UOB Indonesia amounting to Rp400 million. On that occasion, the donation was distributed to rejuvenate the city park of Rivai Bandung and disadvantaged children through the Kick Andy Foundation, Wyata Guna Supporting Foundation and the provision of reading books through the Sahabat Anak Foundation.

2014

 

At UOB Indonesia, we uphold the business philosophy of sharing success with the communities. In 2014, UOB Indonesia held The UOB Heartbeat Run/Walk which is UOB's Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme, in Surabaya, East Java. This activity shows UOB’s effort to strengthen the relationship between the UOB Indonesia extended family and the communities in Surabaya.

The UOB Heartbeat Run/Walk 2014 garnered over IDR250 million in donation to support educational facilities, and medical aid for blind children, as well as financial education and aid for underprivileged women.


2013

 

The UOB Heartbeat Run / Walk 2013 was held in Semarang on Sunday, 2 June 2013. Just like in the previous years, UOB Heartbeat featured a 4 km fun run and a 3 km carnival walk activities attended by more than 800 participants, consisting of UOB Indonesia's employees along with their family and UOB’s corporate partners.

In 2013, UOB employees, along with UOB Indonesia corporate partners, managed to collect donations of Rp225 million. The donations were distributed through the Wisma Kasih Bunda Foundation and the Bhakti Asih Dual Disability Orphanage to help disadvantaged children.


2012

 

In 2012, The UOB Heartbeat Run/Walk was held for the second time. UOB Heartbeat is a regular annual activity as a form of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and a strong commitment to positioning UOB Indonesia in the midst of society through its care and contribution in helping the Indonesian communities.

The UOB Heartbeat 2012 was held on Sunday, 13 May 2012 at UOB Plaza in Jakarta and featured a 5 km fun run and a 3 km carnival walk and the distribution of donations from all employees and partners of UOB Indonesia. In 2012, the donations gathered amounted to Rp200 million and distributed through 3 foundations, the Hayandra Peduli Foundation for the operation of 20 children with cleft lip, the Kick Andy Foundation to help disadvantaged children and the Sahabat Anak Foundation for a thousand books programme to smarten the nation's children.


2011

 

The UOB Heartbeat Run/Walk is UOB's Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program as part of its appreciation and concern for employees and the communities. This programs also aims to strengthen relationship between the UOB Indonesia extended family and the community.

The UOB Heartbeat Run / Walk 2011 will be held in Jakarta on Sunday, 27 March 2011. Through a 5 km fun run program and a 3 km carnival walk, the event is expected introduce UOB Indonesia to the wider communities. During the event, UOB Indonesia, UOB Indonesia's employees and partners donated Rp250 million to the Development Foundation for Children with Disabilities-Jakarta (YPAC-Jakarta)
