UOB Indonesia was established on August 31, 1956 under the name PT Bank Buana Indonesia. In May 2011, the Bank changed its name to PT Bank UOB Indonesia.

UOB Indonesia's service network consists of 131 branch offices and 142 ATMs spread across 41 cities in 16 provinces in Indonesia. UOB Indonesia's banking services can be accessed through the regional ATM network, the Prima and Bersama ATM network and the Visa network.

UOB Indonesia is rated AAA (idn) from Fitch Ratings Indonesia, an independent rating agency. UOB Indonesia also won the Platinum Award for Exceptional Financial Performance from Infobank Magazine for 10 consecutive years.

UOB Indonesia is known for its business focus on small and medium enterprises with a strong retail customer base. The Bank has developed consumer and corporate banking businesses that offer treasury and cash management products and services.
