Our Policy and Commitments
Our Approach
We have various workplace safety and well-being policies and operational manuals that cater to the diverse needs of our workforce. Human Resources is responsible for implementing UOB Indonesia’s people philosophy of Care, Growth, and Trust, while Corporate Real Estate Services is responsible for the physical safety and security of our premises.
Human Resource Policy
Our Human Resources Policy reflects our commitment to providing employees with inclusive and flexible work arrangements to better manage their work-life needs. The UOB Indonesia Code of Conduct includes specific provisions on anti-discrimination, and we do not tolerate any form of discrimination, bullying, or harassment. Through our Code of Conduct training, we educate employees on the importance of preventing discrimination and harassment in the workplace. Employees can report potential concerns or incidents through our secure Speak Up or whistleblowing channels, without fear of retaliation. Corrective or disciplinary action will be taken against any discriminatory behavior or harassment.
We also care for our Employee Well-being by approaching their well-being holistically, focusing on mental, physical, financial, and social wellness.
Physical Security and Occupational Health Safety (OHS)
We have necessary measures to ensure a safe and secure environment, including:
- Anticipating, recognizing, evaluating, mitigating, and controlling workplace risks that could affect the safety, health, and well-being of employees, customers, and visitors.
- Conducting health and safety risk assessments to prevent incidents.Managing facilities for preventive, reactive, and planned repairs and maintenance.
- Addressing pandemic and infectious diseases.
- Adhering to environmental commitments and targets.
We provide a number of basic facilities such as First Aid for Accidents (P3K) equipment, Lightweight Fire Extinguishers (APAR), and others, which are regularly checked to ensure these facilities are in good condition and can function properly.
Each of our premises has a designated floor and site warden, trained to handle emergency situations and fire evacuations. We conduct regular socialization and exercises every year according to government regulation to ensure our employees understand the precautionary measures and safety protocols during the evacuation process.
In building conducive and high-performance workplaces, UOBI conducted several initiatives in 2024:
- We upgraded our security infrastructure in our head office, to improve security and optimize access control, provides a secure and efficient method for verifying authorized personnel, contributing to a safer work environment.
- We conducted basic life support training to 66 employees across our head offices. The training was delivered by a qualified doctor from local hospital, ensuring participants are equipped with essential knowledge and practical skill to response effectively in medical emergency situations.
