Ladys Account Mechanism and Interest Rate

  1. Ladys Account savings customers will get Ladys Account Critical Cover critical condition insurance protection until the customer reaches the age of 65 years old.
  2. Get Insurance Benefits (critical condition sum insured) up to 2 Billion which is determined based on the Monthly Average Balance of the Last 3 (Three) Months of ladys account savings before the date of the first diagnosis

General Terms
  1. The UOB Lady's Account Savings is a savings product that is integrated with Lady's Account Critical Cover insurance product owned by PT Prudential Life Assurance's .
  2. The basic deposit interest is calculated using the threshold calculation method on the basis of daily balances and is recorded on the last business day of the month in question
  3. Insurance benefits (Lady's Account Critical Cover Insurance) will only be attached to 1 (one) UOB Lady's Account Savings account owned by the customer
  4. Information regarding the monthly average balance and indication value of the Sum Insured each month can be accessed by the Customer through UOB Personal Internet Banking (PIB). The sum insured given to the customer is determined based on the Monthly Average Balance of the last 3 (three) months prior to the date of the first diagnosis decided by the doctor
  5. The Bank has the right at any time to make changes to the terms and conditions of the product and the facilities provided in the future with notification to the customer, including changes to the applicable savings interest rate.
  6. These Terms and Conditions for Savings Products are an integral part of the General Terms and Conditions

Terms and Insurance Benefit
  1. The UOB Lady's Account Savings is a savings product that is integrated with PT Prudential Life Assurance's (Prudential Indonesia) Lady's Account Critical Cover insurance product.
  2. 2Ladys Account Critical Cover insurance coverage which is integrated with the UOB Ladys Account Savings will end when the customer reaches the age of 65 years
  3. If the insurance protection for critical condition Lady's Account Critical Cover has ended, then the UOB Lady's Account Savings will end and will be converted to another savings account in IDR currency with the type of transaction report in the form of an Account Statement, with prior notification to the customer
  4. The insurance benefit (critical condition sum insured) from this savings product is determined based on the Monthly Average Balance of the Last 3 (Three) Months before the date of the first diagnosis enforced by the Doctor
  5. Insurance benefits (critical condition protection) are not valid during the waiting period, namely for 90 (ninety) calendar days from the Membership Effective Date (UOB Lady's Account opening date)
  6. If the customer dies due to an Accident during the Waiting Period, a Death Benefit Due to Accident will be paid in the amount of Rp. 10,000,000 and the participant's membership will end automatically. Further provisions can refer to the Lady's Account Critical Cover Insurance certificate that will be received by the customer
  7. Claims for Insurance Benefit (Critical Condition Coverage or Accidental Death Benefit) must be made no later than 180 (one hundred and eighty) calendar days after the date of the first verdict by a doctor or an accident that caused the customer's death. Insurance benefits will be paid no later than 30 (thirty) calendar days from submission
  8. Submission of insurance claims can be made at the UOB Indonesia branch office to be forwarded to PT Prudential Life Assurance (Prudential Indonesia)
  9. Insurance benefits (Critical Condition Protection) cannot be paid if:
    Secondary cancer, which originates from other organs and spreads to the female reproductive organs and breasts;
    Carcinoma in-situ (non-invasive cancer);
    Tumors caused by Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV); or Pre-existing conditions prior to opening an account Further provisions can refer to the Lady's Account Critical Cover Insurance certificate that will be received by the customer
  10. Accidental Death Insurance benefits will not be paid for, among other things: active participation in war (whether declared or not), circumstances such as war, terrorists, occupation, insurrectional disturbance movements, power struggles, strikes, riots, riots or participation as a passenger or flight crew in an air flight other than a commercial airline that is licensed and operates on routine flights

  12. Submission of a claim for Lady's Account Critical Cover Insurance Benefit Critical Conditions must be accompanied by the following documents:
    Insurance Certificate (original) or in the event that the Insurance Certificate is made in electronic form, it is mandatory to submit a copy;
    Critical Condition Claim Form provided by the Insurer that has been filled in accurately, correctly and completely;
    Doctor's Certificate for Critical Condition claims according to the type of Participant's Critical Condition;
    Participant's medical record or medical resume, if requested by the Insurer;
    Photocopy of all laboratory and radiological examination results;
    Report of the Participant's last 3 (Three) Monthly Average Balance before the date of diagnosis made by the Doctor which will be attached by the Policyholder; And
    Other documents deemed necessary by the Insurer.
  13. Claims for Lady's Account Critical Cover Insurance Benefit Benefits Due to Accidents must be accompanied by the following documents:
    Insurance Certificate (original) or in the event that the Insurance Certificate is made in electronic form, it is mandatory to submit a copy;
    Death Claim Form that has been filled in correctly and completely;
    Doctor's Certificate for claims of death;
    Participant's medical record or medical resume if requested by the Insurer;
    Photocopy of all laboratory and radiological examination results;
    Photocopy of Participant's Death Certificate issued by the competent authority;
    Photocopy of Participant Name Change Letter, and Beneficiary, if there has ever been a name change;
    The original Police Official Report must be attached if the Participant dies due to an Accident which is processed by the Police;
    Other documents deemed necessary by the Insurer
Illustration of Benefits:

Mrs. Maria, 30 years old, is a UOB Lady's Account Savings customer with an average balance of the last 3 (three) months of IDR 125,000,000.-

If Mrs. Maria dies due to an Accident during the Waiting Period of 90 calendar days from the Effective Date of Participation, the Insurer will pay the Sum Assured for Accidental Death Benefit of IDR 10,000,000.00.

If after passing the Waiting Period, Mrs. Maria is diagnosed with one of the Critical Conditions as listed in the Critical Condition Coverage Table, then the Insurer will pay the Critical Condition Sum Assured, which is IDR 250,000,000.00 (according to the Table of Sum Assured and Average Balance of 3 ( Three) Last monthly.

Credit Risk

  • Risks related to Prudential Indonesia's ability to pay its obligations to its customers. Prudential Indonesia continues to maintain its performance to exceed the minimum capital adequacy set by the Government.

Operational Risk

  • Risks arising from inadequate/failed internal processes, or from employee behavior and operational systems, or from external events that may affect the company's operational activities. 

Important Note
Lady's Account Critical Cover is an insurance product from PT Prudential Life Assurance (Prudential Indonesia) which is part of the UOB Lady's Account Savings integration product from PT Bank UOB Indonesia. PT Bank UOB Indonesia is not an insurance agent for Prudential Indonesia, nor an insurance brokerage company for Prudential Indonesia. Details of benefits, binding insurance terms and conditions are contained in the Insurance Policy/Certificate that will be issued by PT Prudential Life Assurance.

Prudential Indonesia is fully responsible for the Lady's Account Critical Cover insurance product and the contents of the Insurance Policy/Certificate issued for the Lady's Account Critical Cover insurance product, so that PT Bank UOB Indonesia is not responsible in any form for the Lady's Account Critical Cover insurance product and the contents of the Policy/Certificate. Insurance issued in connection with this Lady's Account Critical Cover insurance product. The Bank will be responsible for the risk of the Bank Product (UOB Lady's Account Savings).

The Lady's Account Critical Cover insurance product is not a bank deposit product, thus it is not included in the government guarantee program or the Deposit Insurance Corporation (LPS). This Lady's Account Critical Cover product has been reported and/or obtained a letter of confirmation and/or approval from the Financial Services Authority in accordance with the applicable laws and regulations.

Premium is an amount of money that must be paid annually by the Policy Holder (PT Bank UOB Indonesia), or a third party appointed by the Policy Holder to the Insurer on each Premium Payment Due Date in accordance with the Premium Payment Period and the amount as stated in the Policy Summary. Premiums include insurance costs, distribution costs, administration costs and policy maintenance costs. This product does not provide commissions to the Bank. 

The Policyholder (PT Bank UOB Indonesia) is given 14 calendar days to study the Policy from the date the Policy is received by you (Free Look Period). During the Free Look Period, if the Policy Holder does not agree with the Policy terms, the Policy Holder can cancel the Policy by notifying us of this matter either in writing or verbally. We will return the Premium that has been paid after deducting costs incurred in connection with the issuance of the Policy, if any. Thus the Policy is considered canceled from the Effective Date of Coverage and We are not obliged to pay any Insurance Benefit, and the Policy documents are considered no longer valid. or submit a claim for Insurance Benefits covered under this Policy.

Risk
  • Misappropriations of property transaction and identity by other parties.
  • Closing account by the Bank in accordance with Terms & Conditions
  • There's operational risk related to the use of ATM/debit card facility including connection ATM network or EDC machine
  • non-guarantee by the Indonesia Deposit Insurance Corporation (IDIC) or any other institutions potentially succeeding subsequently thereof as a result of the maximum savings amount being equal to Rp. 2 Billion or any other amounts shall be determined by the Indonesia Deposit Insurance Corporation (IDIC), including in the event the customer receives a Bank interest exceeding the interest rate determined by IDIC or any other institutions potentially succeeding subsequently thereof
